Semi-detached house is a type of residential building composed of two separate dwelling units, designed as mirrored or similarly articulated volumes connected by a single shared wall. Each unit has its own independent entrance and building plot, ensuring both functional and ownership autonomy.

Although conceived for two separate households, the building is designed to create numerous private outdoor niches and a high degree of intimacy. This quality is largely enabled by the configuration of the sloped and articulated terrain. While the steep site presented a challenge in positioning the building, it also offered significant spatial advantages. The entrances to the two units, as well as their terraces or balconies, are arranged at different levels, increasing mutual privacy and opening up extended views into the surrounding landscape.

The building is oriented so that the main living areas, together with their terraces or balconies, face south, allowing for optimal use of natural daylight. Additional daylight is introduced through a skylight integrated into the roof structure. Service spaces such as the bathroom, utility room, and staircase are positioned within the central core of the building, keeping the façades free for the placement of bedrooms. The enlarged window openings, exceeding minimum standard requirements, enhance the transparency of the building envelope, improve interior daylight conditions, and provide broader views of the landscape; due to their height, they are equipped with safety railings.

Through the texture and earthy tones of the facade render and joinery, the building harmonizes with its surroundings and integrates naturally into the lush green environment.
